Day 1: Fes – Azrou -Midelt – Merzouga:

After breakfast, we start our desert tour from Fes to the Sahara Desert. 3 days Fes to Merzouga desert tour departure: We’ll be spending the better part of the day making our way through picturesque forests, mountains, and Berber communities as we make our way over the Middle Atlas Mountains after a hearty breakfast. We’ll stop in Ifrane, also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing on mountain roads with views of the gushing Oued Ziz and on to Erg Chebbi via various kasbahs and palm groves. We’ll begin our camel ride to the desert camp as soon as you arrive, stopping in the middle of the golden dunes so you can take in the breathtaking sunset before continuing to the camp where you’ll spend the night. After dinner, we’ll sit around the fire and play some traditional music on the drums while gazing at the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga 4×4 excursion:

We recommend getting up early on this day to view the sunrise near the camp. After breakfast, you begin our desert excursion by 4wd to discover the area of the Merzouga Desert. You begin by seeing the fossils area, then proceed to meet nomadic families and learn about their cattle-based lifestyle. We shall have a cup of tea with them before heading to Mifiss mines, a historic coal mine that was operated by French businesses in the 1900s. Following that, we visit Khamlia, a small community inhabited by people originally from Sub-Saharan Africa and noted for their Gnaoua music. They will play original music as well as African dances. You eat lunch in the village with the region’s signature cuisine, “Berber Pizza.” In the afternoon, you’ll drive to the hotel on the dune’s edge, where you’ll have some leisure time.

Desert trips 3 days

INever been to the desert ? Then this place is highly recommended. Excellent service and extreme helpful staff. Super clean and luxurious tents. Dining room could be a bit more cosy and don’t expect Michelin star dinner but hey, you come here for the experience! My 16y old daughter went in the morning on a quad trip and had the time of her life !.

Excurison desert tours

My friends and I had a 12-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech and the trip was awesome! The program was perfect for us. People from the tour were very kind, treating us with excellent hospitality. I have never been disappointed with the service throughout the journey. I really recommend Excursion Desert Tours for anyone travelling to Morocco.
