DAY 1 : FES – IFRANE – CEDAR FOREST – ZIZ VALLEY – SAHARA DESERT

4 days Fes to Merzouga desert trip departure: After breakfast, we start our desert tour from Fes to the Sahara Desert. We’ll be spending the better part of the day making our way through picturesque forests, mountains, and Berber communities as we make our way over the Middle Atlas Mountains after a hearty breakfast. We’ll stop in Ifrane, also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before continuing on mountain roads with views of the gushing Oued Ziz and on to Erg Chebbi via a variety of kasbahs and palm groves. We’ll begin our camel ride to the desert camp as soon as you arrive, stopping in the middle of the golden dunes so you can take in the breathtaking sunset before continuing to the camp where you’ll spend the night. After dinner, we’ll sit around the fire and play some traditional music on the drums while gazing at the stars.

DAY 2 : SAHARA DESERT – RISSANI – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

According to your choice, we might wake up to watch an amazing sunset. A leisurely camel trek or 4WD ride through the dunes back to Merzouga awaits you after breakfast. We’ll be heading to Rissani, a former significant stop along the Saharan-caravans route, and, if our timing is right, we can check out the region’s largest souk (held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays). After that, we drive to Erfoud, also known as Fossil Town. After lunch, we’ll travel roughly 15 kilometers (nine miles) along the valley to the Todra Gorges, where we’ll have free time to explore the area and take in the breathtaking views from the valley’s many cliffs called Todra Gorges. We’ll be passing through Dades Valley shortly, where you may marvel at the incredible sand castles and the “monkey toes” rock formations, as the locals call them. On day two of your 3 days desert tour Fes to Marrakech, stay in a hotel or Riad with a view of the valley.4 days Fes to Merzouga desert trip

DAY 3: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADOU – MARRAKECH

On the last day of our Fes to Marrakech tour, we’ll head out of Dades Valley in the direction of Rose Valley. After that, continue driving along the route that is lined with thousands of kasbahs, where you will have numerous opportunities to shoot some of the most memorable photographs of the trip. We’ll make a pit stop in Rose Town, which is famous for the festival that takes place there every May. We will proceed to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” which is home to the most prominent film studios in the nation. In the afternoon, we will travel to the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is a Unesco world heritage site and a former filming location for a large number of films from all over the world ( Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Games of Thrones…). Your excursion will come to a close at your hotel or riad in Marrakech after passing via the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), which is located over the High Atlas Mountains. Here, we will enjoy the unique Berber Villages.

Desert trips 3 days

INever been to the desert ? Then this place is highly recommended. Excellent service and extreme helpful staff. Super clean and luxurious tents. Dining room could be a bit more cosy and don’t expect Michelin star dinner but hey, you come here for the experience! My 16y old daughter went in the morning on a quad trip and had the time of her life !.

Excurison desert tours

My friends and I had a 12-day tour from Casablanca to Marrakech and the trip was awesome! The program was perfect for us. People from the tour were very kind, treating us with excellent hospitality. I have never been disappointed with the service throughout the journey. I really recommend Excursion Desert Tours for anyone travelling to Morocco.
